The “werewolves” - a creation by cellar master F. Vogelbacher - are based on our high quality base wines, refined with local herbs. The collection is completed by sweet wines and fine distillates.
Selected wines from vines older than 25 years maturated in large oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation and long fine yeast storage leads to soft and full-bodied wines with a fine texture.
Excellent cuvée compositions made from international grape varieties that clearly differ in style from Burgundy wines. They get their fine flavors through aging in barriques.
These fine selective wines from the Burgundy family come from the harvest-reduced individual vineyards of Batzenberg and Dürrenberg. Due to this reduction of the harvest, all the vigor of the vine is concentrated in an excellent grape quality. These precious grapes are then maturated in 100% new Barrique and Tonneau barrels.
The single vineyard "Freiburger Steinler" lies at the gates of the city of Freiburg. The name refers to the rocky soil (residual granite soil), which gives the wines a subtle mineral hint.
