WINE-GROWING WITH THE WOLF

With over 1200 years of wine-growing history, Wolfenweiler is one of the most historic wine-growing communities in the Markgräflerland. Today around 380 hectares of vineyards are cultivated so that our variety of vines can develop extensively.


A good wine is made in the vineyard ...

These extend south of Freiburg along the foothills of the southern Black Forest in the direction of Basel - the "Markgräflerland". Here the vines find optimal conditions: warm summers with lots of sun and sufficient rainfall, plus calcareous loess-loam-marl soils that guarantee a good supply of nutrients.

Cellar secrets

After our grapes have been harvested, they are placed in our wine cellar for further processing. In order to guarantee a consistently first-class wine experience, our first cellar master Felix Vogelbacher ensures that the highest quality standards are consistently implemented in the wine barrels.
